Abbott Launches Afinion HbA1c Dx (Rapid Point-Of-Care Test) to Aid the Diagnosis of Diabetes

• Abbott’s Afinion HbA1c Dx assay is a rapid point-of-care test, available for use on the Afinion 2 Analyzer & Afinion AS100 Analyzer to aid health care professionals in the diagnosis of diabetes
• The test is designed to determine glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level in blood in three minutes, allowing clinicians to diagnose patients and formulating individualized care plans during patient consultation and has received FDA clearance for use on the Afinion AS100 Analyzer in May’18
• The Afinion 2 Analyzer is a platform, simplifying the delivery of actionable, accurate measurements of HbA1c and ACR (albumin-to-creatinine ratio) results at the point of care, offering clinicians to make fast & accurate medical decisions
