Dr. Reddy’s to Acquire Wockhardt’s Select Business Divisions for ~$259M in India

• Dr. Reddy’s acquires Wockhardt’s select divisions of its branded generics business in India and other international territories of Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives for ~$259M (Rs.1850 crores)
• The focus of the acquisition is to boost Dr. Reddy’s presence in the high growth therapy areas with the addition of Wockhardt’s Practin, Zedex, Bro-zedex, Tryptomer and Biovac to its portfolio
• Dr. Reddy’s acquires Wockhardt’s select business divisions which include 62 brands in multiple therapy areas respiratory, neurology, VMS, dermatology, gastroenterology, pain and vaccines along with sales and marketing teams; and the manufacturing plant located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh with all its employees
