Amgen and its Foundation Grant $12.5M to Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts Globally

• Amgen and the Amgen Foundation report an initial commitment of up to $12.5m to support US and global relief efforts addressing the critical needs in communities during COVID-19 pandemic
• The funds will be used to support local emergency response efforts and patient-focused organizations, mounting their own response efforts & international relief efforts by Direct Relief and International Medical Corps
• Additionally, Amgen Foundation has supported Free online learning programs to aid students continuing their science education during school closures, including LabXchange and Khan Academy’s online learning website
