  • Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has classified a list of multiple drugs containing 21 rare and 39 cancer drugs including diseases Gaucher Disease, Hunter Syndrome, Pompe Disease, Fabry Disease, Lysosomal acid lipase deficiency, Type 2 cerliponase, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, SMA and cystic fibrosis
  • The reduction in the cost of the orphan drugs is to make them affordable and available to the patients suffering from orphan diseases
